Did any of you do this too? We also had a roof we jumped off of pretending we were paratroopers. You had to roll with the landing.

Being a Spiderman fan as a child, I used to jump the walls of the hallway in my house and try to strike the spider pose. lol

Although, I wonder how many ended up getting into accidents acting like their favorite superhero.

The artwork captures the spirit of the time so well. The cape over the head is brilliant.

Why thank you! It's a semi-true story.

I see you re-used a location, but not the old drawings and I think I prefer this version.

We used to put hooded coats on by just having them hang from our heads. You then had an instant superhero costume, especially if you then fastened the top button. I'm sure the original Batman did this before Alfred could run him up something more bespoke.

We'd also use winter coats as parachutes, or as sails when riding bikes down wind.

I think you've successfully illustrated the main problem with capes, and why they'd ultimately be rubbish for practicing superheroes. Here Billy would be vulnerable from a sneak rear attack.

Yeah, that corral is midway between their house and Bobby's. I'm still trying to improve the art style.

I think the paranormal stack of bricks may have sent out some kind of cushioning effect that saved him from major injury following the leap. But that's just my professional opinion.

Perhaps Billy was unable to fly because the bricks are made of Kryptonite?

Absolutely did that, from great heights of 2 feet or slightly more.

Two feet? The shed was about seven! Never tried that with a cape, however. :D

I like that the bricks make a second appearance.

Cameos are great XD

Poor Billy. He had such HIGH hopes. (I'm really grabbing at straws for a joke of my own XD XD)

I never did this, but I did have a cousin who was making fun of Mary Poppins, and he jumped off a roof with an umbrella and broke his arm.

We probably shouldn't have, but once he healed up we laughed our *sses off about how dumb it was XD

Looking back on it, I'm surprised that we didn't sustain more injuries. Also, you don't have to censor your words here. The comic has a language flag.

Yeah...I'm shocked I made it to adulthood.

Forget drugs and alcohol...I was constantly doing stuff I wasn't supposed to and nearly killing myself in the process (my poor long suffering mother XD)

Uh...it didn't help either that my Uncle never told us when he was going to be target shooting...so yeah, my cousin and I had some near shots with that (maybe we shouldn't have been using his target bunker as our sandbox XD XD We were so stupid...but all that sand contained with in the walls of railroad ties was such a perfect fort to pretend we were guarding XD XD)

Thanks, I never know how people feel about the cursing. Some people are more sensitive to it than others XD So I try to watch myself just to play it safe.
